This set of gongs are common in the south of Vietnam. Gia Rai is considered to be a sacred very popular instrument in the region. They are in use in religious rituals as the Festival of the Buffalo, Festival Pothi or in ceremonies Bo ma and for the festival in which the new crop of the rice is celebrated.
